neuropharmacology

Picture
Neuropharmacology brought back everything I loved about organic chemistry. Designing drugs is like solving a puzzle. First of all, the drug has to reach the target. Then it must bind to the receptor or protein of interest. And lastly,  it must produce a biological effect. It is three of my academic interests put together: the brain, behavior, and chemistry!

Below is my group's final paper on Spice, a synthetic cannabis. It highlights the landmark discovery of the main constituent of Spice and its pharmacological effects.
